What is the Through the Fire Procession?
Through the Fire is a guided community walk inviting Altadena to come together in healing, remembrance, and resilience after the Eaton Fire.
We walk in commemoration of the transformation of lives and landscape during the 2025 Eaton Fire, and in honor of the people, land, and stories forever shaped by it.
Calling West Altadena Homeowners
Honoring the Land. Honoring the Story. Honoring the Return.
Along the procession route, we plan to create small, meaningful activations, reenactments, and ceremonial installations that bring moments of beauty, remembrance, resilience, and life back into the spaces touched by the fire.
If you feel comfortable sharing a street-facing part of your land during the procession, please share your interest here:
-
Cleared or empty lots where homes once stood (and will forever stand)
-
Street‑visible front lawns or outdoor areas at standing homes
Activations may include gentle music, community or youth performance, reflective reenactments, ceremonial offerings, or guided presence.
All activations are:
-
Temporary (removed the same day)
-
Non‑invasive
-
Safe and accessible
-
Trauma‑informed
-
Coordinated respectfully with homeowners
