Acerca del evento
Organized by Hands in the Soil (HITS), A free monthly gathering dedicated to collective healing in partnership with nature. Through intentional activations—ranging from movement and meditation to creative expression—we cultivate spaces for all to pause, connect and heal within community.
Donations are welcome to sustain future Hands in the Soil community wellness initiatives.
Free and open to all
Join us for a sacred art-making workshop centered on fire survivors and open to everyone. Through letter-writing and collage, participants will create a personal altar piece rooted in remembrance, healing, and visions for the future.
Led by The Blk Craftsroom's and Hands In The Soil, participants will begin by writing a personal letter connected to something they want to remember, honor, heal, or call forward. The letter will become the heart of the artwork and can remain visible, be folded, or be placed inside the piece for privacy.
Participants will then build around their letter using photographs, words, colors, textures, natural materials, and personal symbols. The intention is to move beyond a traditional vision board and create something personal and layered that can live in a sacred or meaningful space.
The finished piece can be placed on an altar, displayed on a wall, or kept somewhere you can return to for grounding, inspiration, and connection.
All materials provided.
Please bring: a blanket or mat for floor seating and your own water bottle.
*Temperatures may reach the high 80s or low 90s, so please dress accordingly.
